Deception Pass

As most of you know, every long weekend we go camping with Rick and Heidi at Deception Pass. This year was no different. Same as last year we camped in style and rented a motorhome, it just doesn't appeal to me to tent with 2 young kids, we did it Katies first year and it rained and was misserably cold! The weather was beautiful this year, and we were once again able to enjoy the Anacorted Waterfront Festival. Aaron and Katie were able to build a little sail boat together, there was a farmers market, live music, and of course boat rides. The boat rides we passed on this year, but we will go on one next year when we can all go as a family. Luke did great for his first camping trip, I think he enjoyed it as well. He got lots of fresh air and lots of cuddle time. It was a great weekend, I hope you all enjoyed yours as much as we did.

Lilacs and Sweetpeas

My two favorite flowers are lilacs and sweetpeas. Unfortunatly I don't have any sweetpeas yet, however I do have lilacs. Last year when we moved here I told Aaron that we were going to have to plant a lilac bush at some point. To my delight, last spring I looked out the basement bedroom window to see lilacs in my backyard. Who knew! So this spring I have been waiting patiently for them to bloom and they are finally here. Yay! Sadly you can't smell them through the computer, but don't they look pretty?

Comparrison

I have been meaning to do this for a couple of weeks already, but I am finally getting around to it. Many have been saying that they think Luke looks like Katie when she was a baby. Well, I guess now you can compare yourselves.

New Attire

Several months ago I decided that we were going to try cloth diapers this time around. I decided for several reason, one being the difficulty with Katie potty training since I thought that you may feel wet more with them (I'm not so sure about that with these ones though). Second, the cost of disposables compared to cloth and finally the amount of garbage that there is with disposables. Anyways, I finally took the plunge and ordered some just before Luke arrived, and he is finally in them. So far, I love them and I think they look really cute too.

I have also added a picture of mommys little helper. She is a complete imitator and loves to help (sometimes too much). I am so proud of how she is with her little brother. As you can see in the picture, she is almost always carrying a baby around now as well.
